Disney's Beach Club Resort

Senior Friendly? But It’s Disney

For a short 1 to 2 day stay we say Yes!

And for a stay of 3 days or more we say …. A qualified Yes.

Let’s Meet Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club Resorts, Shall We?

Disney’s Beach Club Resort and Yacht Club Resort both opened in November 1990. Disney’s Beach Club Villas, a Disney Vacation Club, or DVC, resort opened in July 2002.

They are located within walking distance of the International gateway entrance to Disney’s EPCOT , between the United Kingdom and France areas of World Showcase portion.

These three resorts combined are quite large. In total there are approximately 1,500 guest rooms. This is more than the 1,014 guest rooms combined at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and the Villas of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. It is also more than the 1,300 at Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa,  867 at Disney’s Old Key West Resort just to name a few.

An advantage of staying at is that there is one combined building for Beach and Yacht Club guests,. There is a second building for Disney’s Besch Club Villas.

Disney's Storm Along Bay Pool

There are a total of four swimming pools, including Storm Along Bay which is huge and is really like a small water park. This attracts a lot of guests to stay at this location to specifically spend time at Storm Along Bay. This tends to make the resort feel crowded.

Three of the other swimming pools are Liesure pools. They much more quiet and tranquil than Storm Along Bay.
