Day 5 – EPCOT and Disney for Seniors Group Meet Up!
Today Nancy did another short training run, I walk around Crescent Lake to film Christmas decorations at the ‘EPCOT’ resorts.

We then headed off to EPCOT for the first ever Disney for Seniors Official Meetup. It was great!
Where to begin?
Seemed like everyone had a great time! EPCOT was a good choice I think for the first meet up.

For Nancy and I, it was reaffirming that the Group is doing ok with the wonderful people who joined us ….. 14 new friends in total.
The first few came for the 9:30 am meet up where we had some pics taken by Emma, the Cast Member photographer at the Mr. Disney statue, followed by a nice chat learning about each other.
Then the next several members joined at 10:30 and we had another set of pics by the same Emma. It was cool that each of us with PhotoPass could have for our own.
We decided as a group that we wanted to see Living With The Land dressed up for the Christmas holidays so off we went!

We were all able to sit in the same boat, all 15 of us, which was cool.
Then a few had to leave, with the rest of us going to explore Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana outdoor exhibit which was a lot of fun.

That brought us to the end of our meet up. Such a wonderful time, couldn’t have asked for better weather or new friends. It would not have been as magical a Walt Disney World seniors trip for Nancy and I without this Group meet up.

Thank you to all who came out to join in the fun!
Nancy and I proceeded to continue our learning curve for the new Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World. This time at EPCOT. We rode Guardians of the Galaxy; Mission Breakout to Blondi’s One Way or Another song (not my personal favorite song for the attraction) …. in the very front row

Spaceship Earth was next followed by a walk to Remy’s attraction the long route by Mexico for a frozen margarita (family tradition)

Early dinner was at the Nine Dragons restaurant…..fabulous as usual. Finding a great restaurant that you really like certainly helps to make one’s Walt Disney World seniors trip even more magical.

We doubled back then to Germany for some sweets and were entertained by the German 3 piece band in the stage set up for the International Festival of the Holidays.

A little Christmas shopping was followed by a second Guardians ride (virtual QUEU this time).

We ended the night Soarin’ across the World and Living With The Land.

Tired but a great day! Tomorrow we are resort hopping again.
