A Magical Disney World Seniors Trip

Day 7 – Walt Disney World Seniors Trip – Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving 😀

A different day today. Nancy got in a training run 🏃🏼‍♀️ first thing. On her return who should she meet in the lobby here at the Villas of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa (a DVC resort)?

A few of the classic Disney characters. Imagine if they made house calls! 😃 How truly magical would that make your own Walt Disney World seniors trip!

Mid-day, instead of the crowded parks, we went to Disney Springs. It was busy but surprisingly not crowded (which it became in the evening). We did a bit of shopping with Black Friday deals already in place. Some purhcases were planned Disney Christmas 🎄 gift shopping , some personal non-Disney shopping.

Then off to our reservation at Chef Art Smith.

No special Thanksgiving menu, just the same great food.

We split the Fried Chicken with a side of the Mac and Cheese.

The Hummingbird cake 🍰 was I have to admit just OK for me .. more of an Apple Pie or ice cream … or both kind of guy I guess.

We then made our way to the AMC theater to see Wicked. Not to worry, no need for a spoiler alert here 😃

Tomorrow, buckle up your chin straps …. we are taking on Magic Kingdom on Black Friday with a forecast of showers likely in the afternoon. Would you do this on your magical Walt Disney World seniors trip? Yikes!
