Is Lightning Lane At Disney’s Animal Kingdom Worth The Cost for Seniors?

Recapping Out Lightning Lane Experience at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Now, let’s recap our experience using the Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass.

The first reservation we used started at 11:30 am as stated earlier.

We finished Expedition Everest, our 4th Multi Pass reservation at 3:45 pm…….

So in the total time of 4 hours and 15 minutes, how many and what attractions did Nancy and I experience at Disney’s Animal Kingdom?

First Multi Pass reservation was for Kilimanjaro Safaris seen here

We then experienced the next two attractions with no Lightning Lane reservations…..Gorilla Falls and It’s Tought To Be A Bug……followed by Multi Pass reservation #2 for Dinosaur.

After that, Flight of Passage was our Single Pass attraction, followed by our 3rd Multi Lane reservation for Na’vi River Journey. We also had a ½ hour adult beverage break, followed by our 4th Multi Lane reservation of Expedition Everest.

Combining the 4 Multi Pass reservations we saved 130 minutes….or over 2 hours……while we saved 50 minutes with the Single Pass reservation for Avatar Flight of Passage

Remember that per person saving 2 hours and 10 minutes for the 4 Multi Pass reservations cost each of us $17 plus tax. The 50 minutes saved for the Single Pass cost us $16 each plus tax.

So, was the total of $70 worth it for Disney’s Animal Kingdom?

In just over 4 hours we experienced 7 total attractions. This included some that we did not use Lightning Lane Multi Pass plus that ½ hour beverage break which re-energized us.

And, admittedly we were less tired since we did not have to wait in line for 3 hours, being the total Stand-By wait time we avoided.

And we finished our day much sooner so we could go back to our Disney resort and get refreshed before going out to dinner.

I do believe that using Lightning Lane does require both up front planning on which attractions to select. As well, flexibility is needed in case your plans changed as Nancy and my plans did that morning.

What do you think? Was the $70 we spent worth saving 3 hours of standing in line and spending less time at Disney’s Animal Kingdom?

Watch the video providing all of the details of our Lightning Lane experience at Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park. This includes the step by step on how I changed one of the Multi Pass reservations. Please let us know in the comments if you think the $70 cost for the time saved, etc. is something you would do. We are very curious on your perspective.
