Walk From Disney’s Magic Kingdom to Disney’s Contemporary Resort

This second perspective shows not the walk to Disney’s Magic Kingdom, but instead the walk from Disney’s Magic Kingdom to Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Bay Lake Tower.

This brief walk once again takes you under the Monorail likes. It is beside, as you will see in the accompanying video below, the Disney Transportation bus drop off and pick up area for this theme park.

Once again, according to Google Maps, the route is only a 1/2 mile long. This is shorter than the 8 tenths of a mile long for the walk from Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Again, per Google Maps the walk should take 10 minutes vs the estimated 16 minutes for the other route. With my naturally faster walking gate it took me less.

Yes, both routes are relatively flat.

One word of caution, however, about this shorter route. And perhaps it is just me. The route fdoes take you to an intersection with a working traffic light. Please just be aware that you must obey traffic laws when crossing the intersection with the traffic light at North World Drive. It can be far too easy at this area of Walt Disney World to remember that the Disney bubble still requires one to be aware of one’s surroundings.

There is no such traffic intersection for the other route.

Here then was my experience walking from Disney’s Magic Kingdom to Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Bay Lake Tower Resort for you to determine if it is a good choice for you.

Are you a senior and curious if staying at Disney’s Contemporary Resort is a good choice for you? Here is a link to our review where we ask the question Is Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Bay Lake Tower for Seniors?
