Resort Hop Day Before a Disney Cruise
- When I arrive a day prior to a Disney Cruise Line adventure I use that afternoon and evening to enjoy the transportation system. I usually stay at Pop Century then hop on the SkyLiner to the back entrance to EPCOT then, if I feel like it, walk over to Boardwalk Resort for a great meal, then hop on the SkyLiner again to Disney Hollywood to catch a bus to the Contemporary, once there I shop or grab a snack then ride the monorail to Poly and Grand Floridian, get off and walk around lobby and grounds and eat an early evening meal if I didn’t do one at Boardwalk. Ride the monorail back to Poly and walk over to the ferry. Ride it to the Magic Kingdom and walk over to the buses and catch a ride back to Pop Century for an evening swim. I arise the next day fully embraced by Pixie Dust awaiting to board the bus to the Disney Cruise Line port
Enjoy Walt Disney World By Dining and the Entertainment at Disney Springs

- Disney Springs has the best happy hours. Hole in the Wall Bar next to Raglan Road for drinks. Cookes of Dublin for great inexpensive Fish & Chips.
- The outside dining place at Morimoto has an affordable lunch bar, and nice view of the canal.
- Love the entertainment at Raglan!!! My husband loves the fish at Cookes!
- We always like to spend one evening at Disney Springs. They have live entertainment at night. We go for dinner and then get coffee & dessert to go so we can stroll around & find musicians playing. We’ve heard some excellent music groups there.

Dining At Walt Disney World Resorts

- We love doing progressive dinners – either eating at each of the monorail resorts, or the Skyliner resorts (including Yacht/Beach), or at Disney Springs.
- Coronado Springs Resort at Disney World has Sangria University which is a fun afternoon. Participants learn the history of Sangria and learn to make their own. Book (at 60 days out) through the Enchanting Extras section of WDW website.
- My husband and son did this and said it was fantastic!

- We like to go to Capt. Cooks for breakfast. My husband loves the Tonga Toast, sit outside by the pool. Then take small boat across the lake to MK & transfer there to our resort. Resort pool afterwards. Not crowded as most folks are in the parks. Lunch at a quick serve & dinner at Grand Floridian Cafe & watch MK fireworks. We have also gone to miniature golf courses with lunch at Beaches & Cream. If you like horses, take a tour of the new horse barn at Ft Wilderness. It’s impressive. Disney Springs is great for a lunch & some shopping.
- Monorail and Skyliner hopping to resorts is free!! Great resorts and they all have amazing food. Totally depends on what you’re looking for…. sit down and be served; counter service; quick snack? Each resort has their own of each. If you go with a group, Minnie’s kitchen sink sundae is highly recommended but I’ve never been in a group to get it. It serves about 5. It’s $25 or 30. The original is find at the ice cream Cafe in The Beach Club resort. If you enjoy polynesian, Visit the Polynesian resort. There’s a great counter service at Gasparilla Island Grill in the Grand Floridian. Quiet, good food, and nice atmosphere. If you’re looking for character dining experiences, check out Cape May cafe at the Beach Club resort (breakfast is really good!), with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy Donald and Daisy. Ohana at the Poly has Lilo and Stitch at breakfast. At the Contemporary Resort, eat at Chef Mickey’s for good food choices and to meet Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Donald.
- You never need an admission ticket to a park to experience these. This is all on the monorail line.

- Breakfast or lunch at Olivia’s at Old Key West Resort then take the boat at the dock in front to Disney Springs! A nice long boat ride! Shop enjoy and take the boat back to Old Key West.
- I like to park at Disney Springs and ride the bus to the resorts for dinner. I have done this with Bomas at the Animal Kingdom Lodge , Grand Floridian Cafe and the Polynesian for dinner . Then ride the bus back and spend an enjoyable evening at Disney Springs. I park at the Ticket and Transportation Center and ride the monorail ( I love riding it) . One of my favorite things to do is go to the Animal Kingdom Lodge by bus and go out back to the Savanah View area and watch the animals and then sit around the big fire pit out back and chat with other guests. I meet some interesting folks doing this. You can get an excellent view of the fireworks from the back area of the Grand Floridian and also the back pool area of the Poly at night. My Go to drink is Pog Juice at Bomas and my favorite places to eat are Bomas and Whispering Canyon Cafe in the Wilderness Lodge , another great resort.
