Going to Disney World by Myself – Day 2

Disney World Alone

From EPCOT to the Flower and Garden Festival, I’ll show you all the fun I had during the first full morning of my Solo Senior Disney World trip. Plus, I’ll share my experience on the Behind the Seeds Tour. Come along with me for a magical journey through the happiest place on earth!

In this second day of my 5 day visit, I start with walking through EPCOT during the International Flower and Garden Festival, it’s 30th anniversary.

Solo Disney Trip

I begin by showing you many of the countless flower and topiary arrangements from the International Flower and Garden Festival.

We stroll through the Connections store to see the latest Disney souvenier and MagicBand+ offerings.

Throughout the morning adventure at EPCOT, I point out what many of you asked me to locate for you, some of the numerous areas I encounter with both seats and shade which older adults and seniors want and need during their visit.

We visit together the Butterfly exhibit which was surprisingly very interesting.

Next, you join me on portions of the Behind the Seeds Tour at The Land pavillion so you can judge for yourself if it is something of interest to you.

After the tour, we make our way back to Disney’s BoardWalk Villas to retrieve my luggage for the next part of Day 2 of our Solo Senior Disney Diaries series.

On our way there we stop off at the Disney Vacation Club lounge for a break and you see what it looks like and offers if you have never been yourself.

And we catch up with a Goofy topiary on our way out!

Here is the video from the first morning of my solo Disney World adventures:

Disney World Solo Trip – Day 2 Continued

Next, I then returned to collect my things from Bell Services at Disney’s BoardWalk and took a Lyft over to Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort.

My Delue Studio at Disney’s Copper Creek Villas & Cabins was already ready for me! So I took the time to create this room tour video of my studio. It was my first time staying at a Copper Creek Disney Vacation Club studio.

It was wonderful and I would certainly stay there again. You can see for yourself in the room tour video here:

Disney World Solo Trip – Day 2 – Part 2 – Disney’s Animal and Magic Kigdom

My Day 2 continued. After completing the above DVC studio room tour I then took the Disney Transportation bus from Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort to Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

It was a very long day Day 2 (my first full day) at Walt Disney World as a solo senior (Nancy was out of town at a baby shower for our Daughter-in-Law …. yes, our first grandchild to be!!). I decided therefore to split into two videos otherwise one single video would have been well over an hour long!

I went to Disney’s Animal Kingdom specifically to eat.…..and I show you how I got a table at Yak & Yeti without a reservation…..even when it was too busy for the Walk-In Line feature of the Disney World app. You’ll see exactly how this worked if you don’t have the card or never tried before.

After walking around a bit I then headed for Disney’s Magic Kingdom, taking in the Liberty Belle Riverboat since it is apparently going away. I also took in a couple of more attractions before leaving by boat for Disney’s Wilderness Lodge where I was spending the night.

Hopefully you are enjoying these different types of Disney travel related videos for older adults and seniors …. and that they might even be help planning your own senior holidays. Please do let us know in the comments for the video.

Going to Disney World Solo – Day 3

Today, I switch from Disney’s Copper Creek Villas to Disney’s Beach Club Villas. I was placed once again in an accessible type unit.

I did not ask to stay in an accessible unit. Yet the Deluxe Studio, this time on the 4th floor, was indeed an accessible unit with some very different components as you can see in this room tour I made:

Once the room tour video was completed, I then embarked on my stress free, solo senior adventure at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, including:

– Seeing the Easter Eggs in the lobby of Disney’s Beach Club

– Taking a ride on Disney’s Skyliner from EPCOT to Hollywood Studios

– Enjoying the endearing Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway attraction

– Going through the exhibit and artifacts before the Disney: One Man’s Dream short film

– Searching for seating, especially shaded seating, in many of the areas of Disney’s Hollywood Studios

– Using the Friendship Boat to return to Disney’s Beach Club Villas

– Searching and finding a quiet pool to relax at in the afternoon

I hope you like this video and learn some tips how to make the most of your Disney World adventures, whether as a solo traveller or not!
