Seniors’ Comments About Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Tina – I love Hollywood Studios for the shows, the nostalgic feel, for the Tower of Terror (my favorite ride), Primetime and SciFi are a hoot. I get a kick out of Toy Story Land…And then Fantasmic! I’m not a Star Wars fan, so that’s not a consideration. But if I had one day to go, it would be HS.
Andrea – smaller park , easy to get round , shows to see and have a seat for a while , fantasmic worth seeing too
Jack – Hollywood Studios for me because I haven’t seen Galaxy’s Edge and I like Star Wars. It’s also home to my favorite ride, Rockin’ Roller Coaster, one last time.
Seniors’ Comments About Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Next, let’s look at some of the reasons why seniors and older adults selected their third most favorite Disney theme park in Walt Disney World, specifically Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Laurie – We love Animal Kingdom for the safari, the animals and of course Yak & Yeti!
Beverly – We love AK for the animals and interactions with cast members. We also enjoy our leisurely strolls around Epcot and definitely love all the festivals have to offer.
Tom and Janet – We love the laidback vibe at Animal Kingdom. We can choose to ride or stroll around at our own pace. There are so many things to see and explore.
Mary – I really do love each park for different reasons. But… Animal kingdom has the most things I’m interested in.
Susan – I like Animal Kingdom because it’s more relaxed. Just wandering around and stopping to view the animals is so relaxing. Love sitting on the porch at Nomad lounge and people watch. Also love both shows (Festival of theThe Lion King and finding Nemo).
Seniors’ Comments About Disney’s Magic Kingdom

Now, let’s turn to the reasons why these seniors chose Disney’s Magic Kingdom as their second favorite theme park at Walt Disney World.
Lauri – For us it’s all about the Magic Kingdom, where it all began. The nostalgia and memories are deep rooted.
Jim – My vote (Magic Kingdom) is soley nostalgia based. It holds the same magic as I experienced as an 8 year old visiting Disneyland for the first time in 1972. I do love the other parks and resorts. The Disney bubble is my happy place.
Patricia – Definitely Magic Kingdom, this is Disney! It is where we have the best family memories!
Peggy – Magic Kingdom for the nostalgia but also the rides, shops and quick serve restaurants and places to sit and relax.
Barbie – Magic Kingdom-I love the castle and all the rides that are old Disney, Peter Pan, small world , actually all rides at MK and the shows and food, parades and especially fireworks-they are the best!
Cinde – Magic Kingdom is our number one, however, Epcot would be a close second…
Christine – It’s a magical place. When we get to the parks my first choice is MK. When we make our last park visit before leaving Florida my choice is MK.
Donna – I voted MK because that was the only park on my first visit to WDW. To me it’s true Disney. If I had just one day, I would go to MK in the morning, hop to EPCOT – World Showcase area- hop back to MK for fireworks and rides till close. The park I am most likely to skip is Animal Kingdom.
Cindy – The Magic Kingdom most reminds me of Disneyland where I grew up during my childhood years only 1 and half miles from DL park (even though I didn’t get to go there until I was 12, and left before the fireworks started). Listened to the fireworks while I was in bed, dreaming of being able to see them eventually. After we moved to Northern CA while in high school, finally started going to DL with my youth choir every summer. The Magic Kingdom is the highlight of every WDW trip.
Tammy – If I could only choose one and especially as a first time visitor it would be Magic Kingdom. Walking down Main Street and seeing the castle says Disney to me! However, I can’t imagine not visiting each park. Each park has something special. I love them all!
Lorraine – All of the parks are great, but I was in an accident quite a few years ago and was told NO MORE rides that shake you around or I could break my neck again very easily, soooo we go to the magic kingdom most often because of so many rides that dont shake you……..Animal kingdom is great for the safari and lion king show , Hollywood studios is great for the new villians show, beauty and the beast , TOT is ok for me , toystory mania, etc , Epcot is best for walking and there are a of rides people with problems also so it all depends on your likes and your health and ability to ride.
Alice – I love Magic Kingdom and Epcot. One for Disney Magic and one for more adult entertainment
Joanne – MK is my favorite park, but that’s nostalgia. I grew up in LA and we were at Disneyland all the time.
Seniors’ Comments About Disney’s EPCOT

And now, we turn the number one Disney theme park selected by members of the Disney for Seniors Facebook Group, that being Disney’s EPCOT!
Maria – I love Epcot. Each country has something unique to experience.
Becky – Epcot has always been my favorite. I love both parts of it, not just the rides. It feels more peaceful to me.
Gregory – Really enjoy EPCOT. But right now, WDW is under so much construction and “improvement” it takes away from the experience. Hoping by the end of 26 things will up and running again.
Mike – Though my favorite park is Animal Kingdom, I voted for Epcot because I believe it has a quieter pace and less adventurous rides and experiences that are more suited for seniors
Melissa – It’s tough. I love EPCOT for the food choices but HS has great shows
Jackie – Epcot! I don’t travel so I can pretend there!!!!
Karen – Love EPCOT … BUT, it requires lots of walking in the brutal Florida sun. Love the festivals, rides(except Guardians LOL) and entertainment.
Joanne – Epcot is our favorite park. We love roaming the different countries. Lots of food choices even between festivals, exploring all the shops (we rarely go to Disney Springs), and talking to the international cast members. Even when it’s crowded, you can always fine a peaceful place to sit and people watch. My favorite ride is there – Soarin’!
Kathy – We love all the parks but I chose Epcot because we like to go there multiple times for the atmosphere and some of our favorite rides. The fact that it’s so close to Hollywood Studios is also a plus although I don’t need a full day there. We generally stay at one of the Boardwalk hotels so we don’t need any buses too.
Lorna – At Epcot ,You can take your time and appreciate all the detail, enjoy the different festivals, have a greater variety of food choices and each country has something unique to see.
Teresa – So many places and countries to explore with all kinds of Dining, but also to me the convenience of transportation to get to other parks-Monorail, Boats, Skyliner, and the Bus. So many places to go in to get out of the Heat also. Plus the opportunity to go over to the Boardwalk area and explore, possibly see some entertainment like the jugglers, magicians, etc. and check out the resorts there and even more offerings of dining!

Laura – Epcot would be first but MK close second for the magic and memories.
Lisa – Personally I really enjoy Epcot. Each time we go we see something new plus it’s not all about rides – it’s about experiencing the different countries and I love the little hidden meet and greets. Last time we got to meet Pooh and friends.
Janet – We love Epcot. Our favorite ride, Soarin’, is there. Although, Magic Kingdom holds a special place in my heart.
Steffi – Love Epcot and Hollywood Studios. lol still burnt out on the Magic Kingdom after performing in the Christmas parade for 2 days when in my high school band. We were there from 6am-2am both days ( this was 1981 so it was the only park available.
Joanne ( again) – Epcot has so much more to see and do. It’s a park where you can wander instead of rushing to the next attraction. Just the landscaping and the shops are nice to wander through. Epcot has a wide variety of smaller attractions too, like the Jammitors and all the different music you can catch at the various pavilions.
And then there were these comments which were not related to any of the 4 theme parks individually.
Dan J. – Same as when we were not seniors
Vickie – All of them, I go often solo, life though has made it impossible to do without using my scooter
Karen – Love them all. Have never been able to choose just one. Prior to Rise of the Resistance, I could possibly miss HS but I absolutely love Rise despite never having watched a Star Wars movie.
