Disney World Trip Report – Thursday December 19
Next on our Walt Disney World Trip Report, we had breakfast reservation at the Garden Grill Restaurant with the Candlelight Processional seating package. Next, we did Soarin’ which was almost a walk on and Living With The Land. We walked around World Showcase and we had 2:00 reservations with my classmates. Had an awesome meal as always! Service was the best!
The four of us explored the countries and got in line for our seats, Larry and Elaine got in the standby line. We were sitting in the third row next to one of the singer’s parents. She told us how they choose the schools to perform. There were still plenty of empty seats when it started. After it was over we went to the American Adventure and said goodbye to Larry & Elaine and went back to our hotel.
Disney World Trip Report – Friday December 20
We had breakfast at the trolley at Hollywood Studios; we sat at a table outside with most of them empty. Next, we spent the day wandering around, seeing what we wanted to see and doing what we wanted to do. My wife did ride the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance but never again. We then decided to go to France for some dessert. We took the Skyliner over got our treats and rode the Skyliner back to Hollywood Studios because the busses were closer.
Saturday December 21
We kind of slept in on Saturday, had breakfast at the hotel and then went to Epcot and took a bus to Animal Kingdom Lodge as we had never seen it.
We then went to Wilderness Lodge to see their tree. Then went back to a park and took the bus to Disney Springs! We stayed there for a while and then went back to the Magic Kingdom for the rest of the day. I had made 7:10 reservations for dinner at Cinderellas Castle, but my wife didn’t want to eat that late so I cancelled it. I made a reservation for 4:45 at The Plaza Restaurant plenty of empty tables.
Now a little hiccup… I get it times are different, not enough help etc. I wasn’t real happy as they always have a 2 seat table near the kitchen. But our waitress seemed to forget we were there. She took orders at a table that came in after us. We had closed our menus and were waiting for her to get us something to drink, when she asked what wanted to drink we put in out food order too. So, we ate our meal and I needed another coke but she never came back. I finally got my coke, finished our meal then had to wait for our check. She finally came over and we paid the bill and left.
Sunday December 22
I had made reservations for us again at the Grand Floridian as the waiter we had Wednesday said we could request him on Sunday. Well, I guess he forgot he wasn’t working Sunday. It wasn’t any issue; we just thought it would be nice to have him again. So, I checked in and gave them my phone number and was told it will be a couple of minutes. Well after 30 minutes and seeing others go in I went back to check and they had written my number down wrong. Note to self, check the number! We had a lovely waitress and an enjoyable breakfast.
Then we then rode the Monorail over to EPCOT to do some shopping and finish our vacation in EPCOT. We decided to eat in Italy made a reservation for 5:10 with no problem!
We got there, taken to our table, were given menus and we waited, and waited. Finally a waiter came over asked what we wanted to drink, I got a coke and my wife got water. I think that changed our waiters’ attitude immediately as we weren’t buying $100 wine. He had other tables which he paid a lot more attention to and would walk right by us.
When we finished, we had to get his attention and bring us our check. The food was great, and we will always go back. We went to France for dessert took the Skyliner to Hollywood Studios and grabbed a bus for home. We left Monday afternoon for home. And that brings us to the end of our Disney World Trip Report.
