Many of the people in our community have sailed multiple times, on multiple ships, over many years.

And what they shared wasn’t what we expected.

Some ships that get the most attention didn’t rank the highest.

Others—especially the smaller ships—kept coming up again and again for reasons that had nothing to do with features or amenities.

👉 It wasn’t about what each ship offers.
👉 It was about how each ship actually feels once you’re onboard.

Things like:

How easy it is to get around
Whether the ship feels crowded or calm
How the overall pace of the cruise unfolds

Those were the details that mattered most.

So instead of guessing—or repeating what Disney markets—we’re going to show you exactly how these Disney Cruise Ships ranked based on real guest experiences, along with the reasons people gave.

Here are the results:

One of the biggest surprises from our survey was how strongly guests preferred the smaller ships over the newer, larger ones.

Now, this poll is likely biased towards the older ships which have been around since literally the turn of the century and thus will have had many more sailings providing many more guest experiences.

And, yes, this is not a statistically controlled poll and Group members could select more than one Disney Cruise Line ship.

While 48% selected the smaller and oldest Magic class of ships, which are the Disney Magic and the Disney Wonder …
38% also selected the larger Dream class of ships, which are the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy
Seniors in the poll indicated a strong dislike of the Wish Class of ships, which are presently the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure with only 11% making either their preferred choice
