What about Disney’s BoardWalk Villas 1 Bedroom Units?
The 1 bedroom units were refurbish at Disney’s BoardWalk Villas just a year-ish ago.
There have been disappointments voiced about the studio units. From members of the Disney for Seniors Facebook Group (now over 69,000 members after only 9 months in existance) they report that there are indeed night stands / table in the studio units. Yet, other reviews of the refurbished studios mention the lack of seats.
Here in the 1 bedroom, it is filled with the most wonderful Disney art including a sample shown below.
This art shows various scenes throughout much of the resort with understated Disney characters. They are the best collection Nancy and I have seen of Disney art at any of the Disney resorts where we have stayed. This is somehthing seniors will truly appreciate.
And yes there are lots of not so hidden Mickeys on some of the couch cushions.
One disappointment is that the balconies at Disney’s BoardWalk Villas have always been very narrow, just as they are at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa..
The inside of the 1 bedroom was as spacious as any other 1 bedroom in a Disney Vacation Club unit at Walt Disney World. The exception of cousre would be the 1 bedroom units at Disney’s Old Key West. As well, there are no grab bars in the walkin shower which is another disappointment with the unit. Yet I can’t recall any walk in showers at any Disney resorts, hotel or Disney Vacation Club, that has a grab bar in the shower unless it is an ADA unit.
Yet, the grounds are lovely. And, the location is ideal if you plan to spend much of your park time at Disney’s EPCOT and even Hollywood Studios.
