Disney’s BoardWalk Resort is a long time favorite of young and old alike; and for good reason. It is situated at the Crescent Lake area of Walt Disney World. Joining Disney’s BoardWalk Resort at Crescent Lake are two other Disney resorts….Disney’s Yacht Club and Disney’s Beach Club Resorts. There are also three Marriott branded hotels there. Specifically, they are the Walt Disney World Swan, Dolphin and more recently Swan Reserve hotels.
The location for these resorts and hotels is one reason for their popularity. They are sufficiently close to Disney’s EPCOT theme park’s International Gateway entrance. Most guests can walk or use their mobility devices to return directly to their resort or hotel from time spent within EPCOT’s World Showcase area. This reduces the need to wait for Disney transportation options.

If a guest staying at these resorts, including those using wheelchairs or scooters, can use the Friendship Boats between their Crescent Lake resort or hotel and EPCOT. The dock for the Friendsip Boats at EPCOT is right by the same International Gateway entrance to the World Showcase area. It is also right by the Skyliner allowing guests access to Disney’s Hollywood Studios via the Skyliner if they wish. Of course they can also use the Disney buses directly from their hotels to any of the other Disney theme parks.

The Friendship boats of course will transport Crescent Lake resort and hotel guests directly to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Nancy and I have use it frequently to return from the theme park to our Crescent lake resort or hotel. We typically will walk the 20 to 25 minute walk in the morning to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Lots of transportation options from which to choose.
